A perfect night in...

Chilly January night. Big bowl of fettuccine. My mama's Sunday sauce. Crusty Garlic bread. American Idol. Heaven. I hope you get a chance to relax with some delicious comfort food and trashy TV like me.

My "OMG this should be illegal" Garlic Bread

1 large loaf of French Bread

1 stick of butter

1 big tablespoon Minced Garlic

1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder

Parmesan cheese

Pinch of Kosher Salt

Mozzarella cheese

Foil

1. Heat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet with foil.

2. In a small bowl, melt stick of butter in microwave for about 30 seconds, or until completely melted. Add to the bowl 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, one heaping tablespoon of garlic, a pinch of salt, and mix together.

3. Slice the bread in half (Subway Style), and spread the butter/garlic mixture on the inside, both top and bottom. I use a small brush to do this (looks like a small paintbrush), and don’t forget the chunks of garlic, every drop in the bowl should be utilized, also brush over the top of the bread so it’s buttery too. Sprinkle a little of both cheeses on the inside, and close the loaf.

4. Put in the oven for about 10 minutes, peak in on it to make sure it’s ok every so often.

5. Drool at the buttery garlic goodness you pull out of the oven.

6. Slice and devour.
