Fruit Salsa

I am always looking for the latest and greatest way to make my public drunkenness acceptable in every day society...enter, fruit salsa.

I mean, you really can't go wrong here. Fruit. Good. Salsa. Good. Fruit salsa. Hangover good.

My fruit salsa is made with vodka, which makes it ideal for family get togethers and baptisms. I favor Absolut Mandrin to compliment the fruit, but I only had one shot's worth, and the only hick liquor store open at 10am on a Sunday wasn't digging fruity, so I had to settle for a shot of origional Absolut as well.

Anyone can make this dish, as you can make it with any crap you have on hand. With the exception of adding antifreeze or vomit, I am pretty sure you can't fuck this up.

Fruit Salsa

1 package diced strawberries
3 diced kiwi
2 diced plums
2 diced nectarines
2 diced apples
2 shots Mandrin Absolut Vodka (2 shots is really just a guidline, feel free to go crazy)
2 tbsp sugar

1. Toss all the diced fruit into a bowl

2. Add generous shots of Mandrin Vodka

3. Add sugar

4. Stir, and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Serve with graham crackers or cinnamon chips.

Dear Brittany,
Glad I amused you for a change. I get so excited to read your blogs. And, yes, I suspect she's a tad more detail oriented (anal) than Martha.
By the way....Can't wait to try the fruit salsa!

Asianmommy...Thanks, it was a big hit!

Charlie...Tell me you live in Haiwaii on the beach, that usually gets me places faster.

Jen...Um, it's basically health food. Healthy fruit, cleansing vodka. It's a win, win.

Emily...Maybe slip some in on your mom...she'll never know. Just don't let her drive or operate heavy machinery afterward.

Kel...Yourock, and let me know when you try it!

Tena...I am so glad, and please let me know how it turns out, and if you tried anything new with it, I loving hearing about different ways to make things:)

Sarah...About time:)

Emiline...See, this is tricky. Because of the rustic look to this dish, vomit, especially the chunky kind, could easily fit in esthetically. I am just worried that the acidity of the fruit would clash with the stomach acid. Buuutt....I'm not Bobby Flay, so I could be wrong.

Hmmmmm....that vodka bottle in the background looks like it's missing more than 2 shots!

This sounds like the perfect dish to bring to lunch/dinner with the in-laws!

Ali...ummm....optical illusion?? I plead the 5th.

Aross...I recommend making it for any situation where you need to be drunk...but can't quite pull out a flask.
